When I was about 11/12 me and one of the neighbour kids broke into a partially constructed house. A typical grounding consisted of no electronics and no leaving the house. This time I got hit with 2 months of no reading material other than school work. I near went insane. At the time we were read I am David in school. I read it over and over and over. That book saved my sanity. Nearly 20 years later its still the worst punishment I can imagine. I've been homeless, I've lost friends, all sorts of horrible but never before or since that 2 month period have I been so damn bored.

As someone who regularly meditates, I don't think I could be negatively affected with a grounding. No tech, ok ill read a book No books, ok ill just work with my hands on something  Nothing to work on, just sit and meditate. Hours can go by before I start noticing

There's no real punishment for me. If they take my phone I'd just go clean the house. If they take away my computer.. well I don't use it anymore except for school. If they take away my car.. I can just stay home and clean. They take away my phone would probably be the worst since I can't listen to music or podcasts while cleaning

Exactly the opposite of when I was a kid. Grounding as a kid meant stay at home in your room with no TV and no phone. That sounds like heaven now. I could read and nap and read some more.  As an adult the worst would be to make me work double shifts and then make me socialize afterwards. Worst punishment ever!
