I am trying to catch this guy that keeps leaving me pretty threatening letters like this, what should I do?

"There are some clues in the letter that maybe you missed.  The over emphasis on "we", as if to say 2 or more people typed the letter, lead me to believe that this person lives alone. The double space after a period. Usually done by somebody taught to type on a typewriter, or by somebody aged 30 or older and most likely female. Is somebody nearby selling their property right now? or maybe had a for sale sign for a while?  Correct grammatical use of your and you're indicates the author has a reasonable level of education. They don't need a friend at the IRS to have them investigate you, it seems desperate to need to emphasise a group conspiring against you. The calibri font used in the letter is a standard windows font from 2007 onwards, so you most likely aren't looking for a mac user or somebody with an old pc.  Hope this helps identify the sender. "

You should leave a note on the cab that they're complaining about, they'll think its someone else complaining about the car and won't be able to resist having a look. Then communicate to them that if they have a problem with the vehicle and its something they would like to discuss, then to stop being so gutless and approach you in person. Hello, IRS employee on a throwaway here. It is inappropriate to involve tax administration in a personal matter like this. Many people don't know it but there is an agency dedicated to policing abuses of the system called the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA). There are strict rules on when it is acceptable to access an individual's personal information and there are strict rules on threatening behavior. I'm not sure how much they would get involved with the situation as it stands but if the problem persists you might want to research that angle.

Also, i would imagine that it would be pretty risky for "their friend" to actually fuck with you from inside the IRS when you have physical and documented evidence of them saying that they would do THAT EXACT THING. Put up a small, but readable sign that clearly states that you are in compliance with the rules, that you don't appreciate the harassment, and that you will continue to follow the rules. You might also state that the only vehicle that belongs to you is the one in your driveway. If you feel like compromising, put a car cover on the vehicle when it's parked for the day/night.
