Enjoy the food. Every state, and hell, sometimes every county has its own specialties, but there’s also so so many things that are just overall great in the South as far as food goes. Enjoy the people, yes, the South has plentiful issues, but generally if you look like you, uh, fit in, people are going to be extremely hospitable and friendly. Try to hang around until late August to catch a college football game, and more importantly, an SEC tailgate. You won’t regret it. I’m a nerd who’s not into partying at all, and I had the time of my life at a Bama tailgate (Roll Tide!) last year. There’s some very interesting stuff everywhere, depending on what you’re interested in. Where are you originally from? Are you from the US?
