Gyorgy Dozsa He was condemned to sit on a smouldering, heated iron throne, and forced to wear a heated iron crown and sceptre (mocking his ambition to be king). While he was suffering, a procession of nine fellow rebels who had been starved beforehand were led to this throne. In the lead was Dozsa's younger brother, Gergely, who was cut in three despite Dozsa asking for Gergely to be spared. Next, executioners removed some pliers from a fire and forced them into Dozsa's skin. After tearing his flesh, the remaining rebels were ordered to bite spots where the hot pliers had been inserted and to swallow the flesh. The three or four who refused were simply cut up, prompting the others to comply. In the end, Dozsa died from the ordeal, while the rebels who obeyed were released and left alone.

I got 2 ways. The first is the bronze bull, they stuck you inside a bull shaped bronze statue and slowly cooked you and you screams of pain were transformed into bull noises The second way they firstly feeded you milk and honey on a boat, and it seems peaceful until they lie you down and nail another boat in a way only your head stands out, then they cover your body in honey which atracts bees in a way they cover your entire body, then all that milk gives you diaharrea and you rotten in your own poop

Still havent seen anyone here mention Vlad the Impaler. His method of impaling was to force the victim to sit on a sharp and thick pole which was then lifted upright with the victim slowly sliding down by his own weight. Its said to have stopped an Ottoman army of 100k soldiers through sheer terror alone, after they passed what was essentially a forest of impaled people.

There was a guy in Ancient Rome who invented a giant brass bull at the request of the emperor, a person was to be put inside and the bull head so their screams would make the bull sound like a real bull. When he went to the emperor to show his invention who praised his invention and asked for a demonstration. At which point the inventor was put in the bull and the bull heated leading to his execution. The guy did his job, got praised for it then killed in one of the most painful ways.

The victims of the BTK killer. There are a variety of lengthy and painful deaths. Being eaten alive has to be both truly painful and terrifying. But the BTK killer would subdue an entire family and then tie them up. He'd wake up the parents. Then he would slowly torture the kids in front of the helpless parents before slowly torturing and murdering the parents. As a parent myself, I imagine being completely and utterly helpless and watching that happen to my kid (and also knowing it is about to happen to me) has to be the absolute worst thing imaginable.  A close runner up would be victims of the Toy Box killer. Don't read up on him unless you want to be seriously disturbed by the stories.

People who's names we don't know. Humans have invented unbelievable ways to kill and hurt each other. The practices of recruiting child soldiers in africa for example. Imagine being a mother getting raped by her own son of 10-12 years who is forced to do so if he doesnt want to be killed. That usually means that he is already surrounded by his friends and probably siblings who refused to do so and have been chopped into pieces. And when the little one is done, before they force him to kill you, you know that your child has lost his innocence, his humanity, he will die soon as cannon fodder and until then live in absolute horror.
